XAFU was born out of the desire to combine electronic music with world music, especially the characteristic sounds of Lusophone countries.
It was in Alfama, Lisbon, in 2010 that this passion for electronic music and popular music led André Xina (Portugal) and Juninho Ibituruna (Brazil) to create XAFU.
